“Caregiving - Taking Care of Our Own” The Youth & Adult Learning Committee is introducing a new series entitled “Meaningful Conversations.” The series will explore a number of issues many of us have or will experience in our daily lives. The format is planned as an open discussion among the participants. Although an outside resource may be brought in occasionally to help our discussion, this will not be structured as a lecture. Our first topic will be “Caregiving - Taking Care of Our Own.” Many of us have, currently are, or may eventually find ourselves in the future in a caregiving role. It may be helping a parent, a spouse, a good friend or even a child. This can be a life changing experience, one for which most of us have no training. For some, the responsibility can be overwhelming, for others, a joy of loving service. The discussion will allow participants to share with others their experiences, challenges, questions, frustrations and also joys, as well as gain the understanding and support of others. Come join us for our first “Conversation,” Saturday, September 27, 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM. Sign-up on the Sign Up Bulletin Board in the Fellowship Hall to attend or call the Church Office at 502-244-1856.
