Music is a very special and intrinsic part of our worship services at Ascension.  By blending traditional and contemporary musical styles into our worship liturgy, it engages us in the experience and celebration of God's grace and what He has done for us.

• We come to experience God's forgiveness and praise Him with song, and petition Him with prayer.
  
• We come to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ and the help He brings for our real needs.
  
• We come to participate in  the sacraments of Baptism and Communion celebrating new life in Christ.
  
• We come to serve.
  

We also love to celebrate the diversity of worship among God's people.

Several times a year we highlight this multi-cultural diversity of musical style and practice with special themed services, for example: African, Blues, Klezmer, Scottish, Cajun, Irish/Celtic, Broadway, Reggae, Dixieland Jazz, Latin/Hispanic and Americana.
